Defining culture:
	Culture is what you do, how you behave, common backgrounds
	Culture is also what you do NOT do.

Devops as culture
	Devops isn't about agile
	Devops isn't about cloud computing
	Devops isn't about scalability, or performance
	Devops isn't about developers carrying pagers.

	Devops is about business.

Business awareness
	You aren't expected to be an expert at everything
	You are expected to know that other people bring value as well
	You are expected to help them deliver value

Communication
	No such thing as too much communication
		Better to overcommunicate than undercommunicate
	Group conversations over one on one
	Asynchronous communication must be supported
		This is a learned skill

Measurement
	Organisations must be metrics driven
	What you measure is what you will get
	Not all metrics are easily collected

Opinions
	Opinions do not matter. No HIPPOs.
	Show me the data!
	Statistics are important. Learn your stats!
	Test, test and test!

Craftsmanship
	AKA personal responsibility.
	If you make no mistakes, you aren't learning.
	If you make too many mistakes, you aren't learning well.
	95% of the fault is with the system, 5% with individuals.

	Root Cause Analysis: Fix the system, not blame individuals.
	No blame culture.

Education
	Keep learning. Especially in adjacent fields.
	Know your theory
	Practical skills are not a substitute for theoretical knowledge

MTTR
	Errors will happen, systems will fail.
	Budget for failure.
	Technical design will reflect your social structures
		- Conway's law.
	Try to keep MTTR low instead of high MTBF

People issues
	Management and technical skills are different
	Becoming a manager is not a promotion, it's a new job profile
	Go talk to your colleagues.
	Remember to be gender, caste and creed blind.
	Watch out for hidden biases.
